Zoho Corporation has spent the last 30 years building an empire from the ground up. The company celebrated its 30th anniversary by crossing a staggering threshold: one million paying organizations and over 150 million users worldwide.
Despite a volatile global economy, Zoho reported a 32% jump in customer growth and a 20% revenue increase for 2025.
Co-founder and Chief Scientist Sridhar Vembu attributes this success to Zoho’s unique DNA. Unlike its primary competitors, Zoho is:
- Bootstrapped: No external investors to answer to.
- Private: No quarterly pressure from Wall Street.
- Built In-House: A vertically integrated tech stack that keeps costs low and software unified.
The 2025 growth wasn’t just localized. Zoho has secured massive enterprise wins ranging from Mercedes-Benz India and Union Bank of India to Flora Food Group in Europe and Creditas in Brazil.
A significant portion of this momentum is coming from Africa, where Zoho’s long-term value approach resonates with a dynamic, entrepreneurial market. As Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head for Zoho Nigeria, noted, African businesses are increasingly rejecting the high cost and complexity of traditional enterprise software in favor of Zoho’s flexible, scalable tools.
