Salesforce and Google have expanded their strategic partnership, introducing a new era of enterprise AI designed to place employee productivity and trust at the forefront. This deep collaboration integrates Google’s cutting-edge Gemini models into the new Agentforce 360 Platform, aiming to transform how teams, from sales to service to IT, get work done.
The core of this partnership centers on creating highly consistent and capable AI agents for critical enterprise use cases.
Customers can now harness Gemini’s powerful multimodal intelligence to power the Salesforce Atlas Reasoning Engine, the brain behind Agentforce. This upgrade enables hybrid reasoning, allowing Gemini users to deploy agents that deliver more accurate and consistent results for complex, multi-step enterprise problems.
The companies are expanding the capabilities of large action models. By fine-tuning Gemini models, they can now automate processes, not just text, outperforming industry-leading LLMs against key CRM benchmarks. This allows organizations to automate complex, multi-step business processes with greater reliability.
This joint effort is built on a shared commitment to open standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A), ensuring agents can seamlessly collaborate across platforms and specialized domains.
The true transformation happens at the employee level through the deep integration of Google Workspace and Agentforce 360.
This integration means users can access critical Salesforce Customer 360 apps (like Agentforce Sales and Service) directly from the tools they use every day, Gmail, Meet, Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
- For Sales: The partnership enables scenarios like a website visitor triggering Agentforce Sales to start a personalized Gmail conversation, qualify the lead, and automatically schedule meetings in Google Calendar. Sellers can securely access and view CRM data within their Google Workspace applications.
- For IT Service: The new Agentforce IT Service solution includes out-of-the-box integrations with Google, automating tasks like granting access to Google Workspace, managing device security with ChromeOS, and analyzing service trends using Looker.
As George Kwon, VP of Product Management for Google Workspace, states, this integration “unifies critical business information with powerful AI assistance, helping teams across sales, customer service, and IT make smarter decisions and streamline their work with critical information, all from the tools they use every day.”
The partnership is further strengthened by integrating Gemini Enterprise into Slack’s Real-Time Search API. This allows users to ground instant insights and summaries directly in an organization’s most current conversational data and files, creating a seamless, bidirectional workflow within the flow of work.
