Scaling East Africa’s Digital Backbone Through Localized Sales Leadership and Strategic Enterprise Engagement
As the demand for resilient, carrier-neutral digital infrastructure accelerates across East Africa, Wingu Africa has announced a strategic addition to its executive team. Prasad Acharya has been appointed as the Director of Sales for Tanzania, a move designed to deepen the company’s footprint in one of the region’s most critical technology markets.
Acharya’s mandate focuses on driving commercial growth, strengthening carrier relationships, and expanding the adoption of Wingu’s world-class data centre services among Tanzanian enterprises and technology partners.
Prasad Acharya joins Wingu Africa with over 20 years of high-level experience in the telecommunications and B2B connectivity sectors. Having previously held senior commercial roles at leading Tanzanian ISPs, his appointment brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams through complex digital transformations.
Tanzania remains a cornerstone of Wingu Africa’s regional expansion strategy. The company is currently scaling its data centre capacity in the country to meet the surging demand for secure, high-uptime environments.
“Prasad’s extensive experience and strong understanding of the Tanzanian market will play an important role as we continue to expand our presence,” noted Ralph Vraagom, VP of Sales at Wingu Africa.
By investing in in-country leadership, Wingu Africa is ensuring that its infrastructure solutions are closely aligned with the specific needs of the local market. For Tanzanian organizations, this means better access to resilient digital services that can support everything from cloud migration to international carrier peering.
“I am excited to join Wingu Africa at a time when demand for digital infrastructure is growing rapidly,” said Prasad Acharya. “I look forward to supporting organizations in Tanzania with world-class services that drive their digital legacies forward.”
