Ex-Microsoft and Google Cloud Executive Takes the Helm as Regional Cybersecurity Shifts from Reactive Defense to AI-Driven Resilience
As enterprises across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) rapidly integrate cloud architectures and generative AI, the regional threat landscape has grown too complex for traditional security paradigms. In a strategic move to accelerate its market footprint, SentinelOne has announced the appointment of technology veteran Girard Moussa as Area Vice President (AVP) of Sales for the META region.
Moussa will orchestrate the company’s regional sales execution, driving the adoption of the Singularity Platform across high-stakes enterprise and public sector markets.
Moussa brings more than 25 years of technology sector experience to the role, including over two decades spent scaling hyper-growth operations within the META region. His professional pedigree includes senior leadership execution at Microsoft, Google Cloud, SAP, Cisco, and Splunk.
Most recently, Moussa served as Senior Sales Director at Microsoft UAE, where he anchored public sector and higher education strategies. His deep-rooted relationships with regional CXOs will be pivotal as SentinelOne positions its autonomous software fabric as the foundation for modern enterprise infrastructure.
The expansion strategy comes at a critical juncture. In 2026, organizations are not just protecting traditional endpoints; they are scrambling to secure their own AI implementations. SentinelOne is directly targeting this vulnerability by expanding the Singularity Platform’s capabilities to defend against AI-specific threat vectors:
- Preventing unauthorized alterations to enterprise LLMs and machine learning pipelines.
- Stopping proprietary corporate data from inadvertently escaping through AI tools.
- Hardening enterprise application layers against malicious, natural-language commands designed to bypass security controls.
“SentinelOne is at the forefront of change in cybersecurity, where autonomous, AI-based capabilities are needed to keep up with the speed and complexity of modern threats,” says Girard Moussa, AVP META, SentinelOne. “I look forward to collaborating with our teams, customers, and partners to support this transition.”
For public sector and enterprise operators in the region, the shift toward intelligent automation is an inevitability forced by the sheer volume of modern cyberattacks.
Ezzeldin Hussein, Regional Senior Director, Solution Engineering, META at SentinelOne, emphasizes that traditional defense mechanisms are structurally inadequate for the current environment. According to Hussein, Moussa’s leadership will be instrumental in shifting the regional narrative from basic threat containment to a framework of continuous, real-time intelligent resilience.
