Modular Architecture, 50 TOPS Desktops, and Quantum-Resistant BIOS Define the New Dell Pro Portfolio
Dell Technologies has unveiled a reimagined portfolio that bridges the gap between executive-class design and enterprise-grade rigour. Spanning the new Dell Pro notebook series, Dell Pro Precision workstations, and an AI-ready desktop family, the announcement marks a pivot toward hardware that is as aesthetically refined as it is operationally resilient.
At the heart of this refresh is a design-forward philosophy that prioritizes sleeker silhouettes and premium materials without compromising on the cooling or power efficiency required for demanding on-device AI workloads.

The standout innovation in the Dell Pro notebook line is a new modular design approach. By shrinking the motherboard, Dell has created internal volume for larger fans and superior thermals, allowing for chassis that are up to 18% thinner than previous generations.
- Dell Pro Premium: A new executive standard, featuring a magnesium alloy chassis and a Tandem OLED display.
- Dell Pro 7 & 5: Offering the most scalable performance in their class, with options for both Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors.
- Sustainability through Modularity: Dell is pioneering the use of modular USB-C ports, mainboards, and customer-replaceable batteries, significantly extending the lifecycle of the hardware and supporting circular economy goals.
The portfolio introduces the Dell Pro 5 Micro, Dell’s first Copilot+ PC mainstream desktop. Despite its ultra-compact form factor, it delivers a 50 TOPS NPU for low-power AI acceleration.

For the heavy lifters, the Dell Pro Precision family has been rebranded to emphasize its role in the Pro ecosystem. The new Precision 5S debuts as the thinnest entry mobile workstation ever, while the high-end 9 Series desktops can accommodate up to five NVIDIA RTX Pro Blackwell GPUs, capable of powering complex AI development and 3D simulations.
For GRC and security professionals, the most critical upgrades are under the hood. Dell is now the only commercial PC manufacturer equipped for on-the-box ransomware resilience through its Halcyon integration.
- Quantum-Resistant Upgrades: Protecting the BIOS and Root of Trust against future cryptographic threats.
- Cloud-Based Provisioning: Allowing for remote, zero-touch fleet deployment via Intel vPro.
