Cairo-based A15 Leads Investment to Expand Ethical Whistleblowing and Risk Management Platform into KSA and UAE
iVoiceUp, an Egyptian startup specializing in AI-driven ethics and compliance management, has successfully closed a fresh funding round led by the prominent Cairo venture firm A15.
The capital injection is earmarked for a major regional expansion, as the startup looks to deepen its footprint in Egypt while aggressively entering the Saudi Arabian and United Arab Emirates markets. iVoiceUp’s platform is designed to help organizations detect and manage misconduct, ranging from financial crimes like embezzlement to workplace issues such as harassment, before they escalate into full-scale crises.
The core of iVoiceUp’s appeal lies in its sophisticated approach to psychological safety and data integrity. The platform serves large-scale employers, private equity firms, and family offices that require high-level visibility into compliance risks across vast portfolios.
Key Technical Innovations:
- Voice Pitch Modification: Allows employees and suppliers to report issues via voice while automatically altering their pitch to ensure total anonymity.
- Secure Two-Way Dialogue: Enables investigators to communicate with whistleblowers through encrypted channels without ever revealing the reporter’s identity.
- AI Risk Intelligence: Converts raw reports into structured case workflows and actionable data, helping management identify systemic risks.
| Feature | Description | Benefit |
| Anonymity Tools | Voice masking & identity protection | Higher reporting rates & employee trust |
| Backend Automation | AI-led report categorization | Faster response times for HR & Legal |
| Regional Know-How | Built-in MENA compliance logic | Alignment with local labor laws |
As part of its product roadmap, iVoiceUp is developing a headline feature that could set a new global standard for internal investigations: anonymous video interviewing.
This AI-led tool allows investigators to conduct face-to-face sessions using digital avatars. These avatars mirror the interviewee’s real-time facial expressions and emotions, allowing investigators to gauge sincerity and stress levels while the interviewee’s actual face remains hidden.
While the funding marks a significant win, the expansion into the Gulf brings complex challenges. Success in markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia will require iVoiceUp to navigate strict data residency and privacy regulations.
Karim Beshara, Managing Partner at A15, noted that the investment reflects a strong belief in founders who apply technology to improve workforce welfare. “iVoiceUp aligns with our approach of scaling market opportunities while simultaneously improving employee protections,” Beshara stated.
With over one million users already on the platform within blue-chip organizations, iVoiceUp is well-positioned to become the primary governance tool for regional firms that prioritize ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics and workplace safety.
